Аннотация

This paper examines the application of digital storytelling as an innovative pedagogical approach for developing English narrative writing skills among second language learners. Digital storytelling combines traditional narrative elements with multimedia components, creating engaging contexts for language production and offering unique opportunities for skill development. Through analysis of theoretical frameworks, empirical research findings, and practical implementation strategies, this study demonstrates how digital storytelling can enhance various dimensions of narrative writing competence including organization, descriptive language use, audience awareness, and revision practices. The findings suggest that digital storytelling's multimodal nature and authentic purpose for writing create powerful conditions for writing development while simultaneously developing digital literacy skills essential for 21st-century communication.
