DEVELOPING RESEARCH SKILLS OF LOWER-SECONDARY STUDENTS THROUGH THE IB MYP APPROACHES TO LEARNING FRAMEWORK

Abstract

The thesis discusses the potential of the IB Middle Years Programme Approaches to Learning (ATL) framework for the systematic development of research skills of students in grades 7–9. A progression of research skills across grades and a set of inquiry-based tasks integrating information literacy and media literacy with academic integrity are proposed.
