Abstract

This article examines the use of gamification as an effective approach to increasing young EFL learners’ motivation and vocabulary acquisition. The study analyzes how game elements such as points, levels, badges, competition, rewards, and immediate feedback influence learners’ engagement and vocabulary retention. The findings show that gamified activities create a more enjoyable and interactive learning environment, reduce language anxiety, and encourage active participation. It is concluded that gamification can be used as a valuable supplementary tool in EFL classrooms when it is purposefully aligned with learning objectives.
