Polysemy involves words with multiple related meanings, while ambiguity arises when a word or phrase has multiple unrelated interpretations. This article explores their differences, impact on translation, and strategies to resolve these issues. Using English and Russian examples, the study highlights the crucial role of context in preserving meaning accuracy.
