Translating these works poses significant challenges due to their intricate poetics, including dialectal variations, historical context, and cultural embeddedness. This article explores the linguistic and cultural problems encountered in translating Southern Renaissance historical novels, focusing on issues of dialect representation, historical authenticity, and the preservation of poetic tone.
